Definitely! It's funny you mention Prince because he's actually my favorite artist ever (with Weezer being my favorite band. I could never choose between the two). What helps him out when he doesn't have the guitar is his dance moves and his confident swagger. I think you've become far better sans guitar since the experiment began back in 2009 but there's just some magic with the old line-up that can't be touched, you know?
If you ever wanna check out some Prince video bootlegs or something, I can help you out there (His stuff isn't so readily available. He's kind of a control freak). He's way better live than in the studio.
The surprise is Rachel!? I loooooove her voice and I looooooove IJTOTLOMD!(everytime I listen to that song, I get new respect for u...everytime) Her voice is PERFECT for that song. I'm getting sad that 99.9% I won't b able to see it happen on stage... But I hope u and everybody else have a blast this Friday!
Here it is. I posted it on January 8th but I'm sure you were pretty busy then, haha. I wish there was a way to keep elements of both performances. Ever thought about spending the first two minutes guitarless then picking up your guitar before the key-change? Maybe that's sorta cheesy but that's just such an amazing solo and I think a lot of people would love to see you play it (no offense to Pat).
Man, I really hope the master tapes are at Bellows Falls, after listening to the HOMiE tribute album for like the 20th time this year I'm convinced that the Hot Tub bridge not been laid down on studio tape + distributed to us has to be one of the greatest tragedies of all time. That, or losing Rosemary... or 1000 Years. Oh my god I just love them all the tracks from that album.
Hey Rivers, have you ever heard of VYou? To me it seems like fusion between twitter and ustream (which you seem to enjoy using). Here's an example of one of my favourites if you want to check out the mechanics: http://vyou.com/hunterburgan
