Woah Rivers, you're covering the Beach Boys! I'm beyond stoked and I'm a little surprised; I would have expected this maybe in 1994 when those awesome Beach Boys elements were really prominent in composing Weezer's sound (Holiday being the phenomenal example I'm thinking of). It's really cool that you're looking back to them again in 2010 to an extent that you're motivated to cover them. I can't wait to hear this!
I'm pretty sure there is a pic of me in the Death to False Metal album insert. On the page with the words to Autopilot- I'm in between the two kids! That is so cool!! Thanks! It'd be so rad to have you guys autograph it for me one day- maybe I'll run into you in January in Chicago!
So I just watched the Blue Album performance on youtube and cried. I think it was seeing the album performed with such sincere reverence that really brought out my tears; it just allowed the inherent beauty of the music to flourish and words fail to really articulate how blown away I really am.
It's probably out of your control, but you haven't been to Australia for over fourteen years now and it'd be fantastic if you could bring this experience across the sea for us all to share. The idea that this will go away and I'll never experience it upsets me to no end so I just wanted to leave this request so I feel like I've done my bit to try and make it possible.
Good luck tomorrow night! If The Blue Album being performed made me write those paragraphs up there I'd hate to think of the incoherent ramblings I'd post after Pinkerton.
