2012/08/11 Show: Washington, D.C.: Warner Theater

Today Team Weezer assembled in Washington D.C. at the Warner Theater, for a special free show. The free tickets were only available to people who lined up at the grand opening of the new Microsoft Store in Pentagon City, VA, across the Potomac River. They got wristbands that got them into the show today, which was an early afternoon thing...

Great show, and the band was very personable at the meet-and-greet afterwards (despite Microsoft hurrying along the process and limiting interactions of any kind).

Moment of awesome: Rivers going to the edge of the stage at the end of Buddy Holly just to read my sign: "If you play Modern Dukes, I will name my first born after you." Scott and Pat read it earlier in the show; Scott enthusiastically nodded in agreement, Pat pumped his arms and ecstatically said "YES YES YES!!!"
