Comment by otis rawding on August 31, 2011 at 4:53am i can't believe it....nothing like Karl of course but i sometimes get sick of weezer as a friend of mine is in the band and it gets played at parties im at (or shows my band plays) a lot...not to mention rock 101 radio at my work place where "say it sin't so', "beverly hills", "buddy holly", and perf. sit" get played daily...i must say...i'm still (as hunter S. Thompson said), "Riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave"...since the show in Squamish...everyone (esp. Karl) has heard my stories to death and back...so no repeats...but i will say Rivers' jump into the crowd was an act of courage...because i was being squished and he was so close to me he accidentally elbowed me on top of my head (making me lose my kaki red star cap for 2 songs).....it was great but i'd love to here a 2005 acoustic island aol "island in the sun"...in 2008 it was with the hootenanny kids which was fine....but it is such a beautiful song and when sung in a very heartfelt manner can send shivers...Brian told me i had just missed (seattle?) a show with the 1st and 2nd albums played!!!...wow!....still what a great show..2008 was fun...but it was nice to have rivers with his SG on more and a lil less all over the place (drums, headsets etc.)....i really had a great time and while i asked for "waiting on you" at least we got "no one else"...and i think Brian did a fine job of "keep fishin'" (although i thought he should sing "time flies" from Hurley....A very Relationshipesque tune imo...and a fav of mine)....the only let down...and i was prepared in advance for this was, was the lack of Pinkerton songs...i mean don't "El Scorcho" and "The Good Life" count as greatest hits/festival material?...
]But all in all the show was awesome (why im STILL typing about it)....it also made a Weezer fan out of my Squamish buddy who was with his son when Brian and I walked up to them on the grounds...Bradley looked happy...his dad Craig curious and cool as usual (craig you rule man!)...cheers to all you weezer fans in B.C. and esp to you jeffrey (who caught rivers' pick, flawlessly i might add)....also cheers to Karl for being so polite while i was clearly in his space!...and appologies for the multiple e-mails!!!!!...i've been excited after a year at home with a herniated disc, this trip with Brian was my 1st real adventure in over a year!

Comment by Dan Cunningham on August 23, 2011 at 3:47pm I was there and it was the greatest night! I'm an aussie who made the move to Canada 4 months ago and seeing Weezer was on the top of my list of must do's! I'm so happy that I've finally been to a Weezer show, especially on my birthday! I started to work my way to the front of the crowd when Shane Koyczan was on Stage, my mate and I ended up front and centre. It was so amazing! Thanks so much guys, you ROCK!
Hey Karl, I noticed you were taking a lot of photos and videos. Will you be posting them up? I would be very interested in them. Cheers mate

Comment by Jeffrey Watts on August 22, 2011 at 9:28pm Great show. This was show number 7 for me and one of the best for sure. Highlights included getting Rivers' guitar pick and Rivers jumping into the mosh pit right in front of me. Brave move on his part cause that crowd was insane!!
Thanks guys and Karl for all your hard work.
Comment by Stephanie Ip on August 22, 2011 at 2:33pm YES, I WAS THERE! And yes, it was radical! Karl, you are the best. DON'T LET THE MAN GET YOU DOWN! STRAIGHT UP! Thanks for the setlist... finally! It was my fourth time seeing Weezer in as many years and for whatever reason, that was the best show so far. The guys were awesome and so on the mark for every single song. As for Rivers, I don't know how that guy does it but man, can he ever mess with a crowd. You guys are rad and as long as you keep touring, I will keep coming every year! =W=
