2011/07/28 Holmdel, NJ: PNC Bank Arts Center: Flaming Weezer Lips #1

...Today is a day of frenzied activity, as we gear up for the pair of aces we and the Flaming Lips have got up our collective sleeves - todays show at PNC Bank Arts Center and friday's show at Jones Beach! I hear tell theres still some tickets available to both of thse shows (check here for PNC, here for Jones Beach), so dont miss the chance to see these one (well, two) of a kind co-headlining shared stage Flaming Weezer Lips extravaganzas!

No waiting in between bands and while I'm not a huge fan of the Flaming Lips, their visual stage show kept me pretty entertained. Plus, I managed to grab Rivers' butt when he walked by, so all in all an awesome show!! THANKS GUYS!!!

I've decided that if Weezer plays "Only in Dreams," I'm going to propose to my GF, probably at the start of the solo. It's our favorite song.

One of the best Weezer shows I've ever been to ended with "Only in Dreams" as the 2nd and final encore, with tons of lights and confetti, and I'll never forget it. Hopefully tonight will be as unforgettable.

I followed the Twitter play by play thanks to some awesome folks who updated pre-show, during, and post-show - interesting way to experience the show and definitely made me more excited (is that possible?) for tonight. I'm not a huge lips fan but going to the show with a friend who is, so it will be neat to get her perspective.

The flaming lips came out guns blazing, weezer's first 3 songs didnt look like they were into it but later on they came out looking like the weezer we all know and love. Great night.
