2011/07/10 Kinross, Scotland: T In The Park Festival

Today we play T In The Park, near Edinburgh, Scotland, the 3rd in a 3 straight trifecta of giant festival madness! Last night we had a long bus ride up from Sonisphere Festival grounds. More movies were watched, work was done, food was consumed, and finally, one by one, we succumbed to the quiet, dark bus cocoons of sleep, collapsing into recharge mode.

But now we are on site and its sunny and beautiful. With occasional hot and cold flashes and bits of rain and sun. Aside from the occasional wafting odors of the nearby chicken farm, things are quite good and the guys are getting it together to hit the Main Stage - right after Blondie!

This festival as got some heavy hitters lined up, with Pulp, Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance, All Time Low and Cast on the main stage alone. Other stages are showcasing a billion other artists including Deadumau5, Diplo, the Eels, and a band we like the name of: By The Rivers.

Photos later - are you going? Did you go? Comment here and/or in our message boards, tell your tale! Post your show pix on our photo page! Same goes for video clips if you got em!

Hundreds I would say thousands now after that performance , as I heard a lot of chat about it after wards . And you do make a fair point grant, I just was excited to see them that I wouldn't have really cared if they did only radio head .

Also the greatest man that ever lived would have been grand but personally I would have loved to have heard we are all on drugs or miss sweeney which are my favourites there the tunes that get me up in the morning hehe

It was my first time at T in the Park and also my first time seeing Weezer, which made it even more amazing! I absolutely loved the set and dragged my non-Weezer fan friend down to the barrier - although I would've gone alone if I had to! It's a shame they didn't get to play for longer though, some Pinkerton tunes wouldn't have gone a miss, or The Greatest Man That Ever Lived. Hopefully Weezer will be back in Scotland soon, there's hundreds of Scots that would appreciate it! =w=

Fair point Louise but if they were going to play a sprawling epic, wouldn't you rather they'd played Only in Dreams or The Greatest Man That Ever Lived? I'm not knocking their cover, I'm just saying I turned out to see Weezer, not Radiohead. They'd already played Teenage Dirtbag and two covers in a 13-song set seems a bit of an inbalance to me.

I would like to add that I personally loved the cover of paranoid android , it gave me time to just take in that I was getting to watch wezzer at long last and relax and enjoy it x

AMazing show, been waiting 6 years to see you guys again!  I was right down the front and infact got hit in the face by an unopened Poncho Rivers threw into the crowd, loved every minute of it.  Don't leave it so long to come back!

It's been a long time coming but the Weez finally made it back to Scotland. I was there yesterday, right at the front of the mosh pit, and the guys were amazing. Rivers was his unbelieveably energetic self and the crowd absolutely loved him for it.

The only mis-step in the set was the cover of Paranoid Android - yes it shows fantastic technical ability, but it really doesn't engage the crowd. We turned out in our thousands to hear Weezer tunes - not Radiohead covers!

Don't leave it so long until next time...
