2011/07/06 London, England: Brixton O2 Academy

Today marks weezer's first 'club' show in England in several years, and the only club show of this block of gigs in the UK and Ireland. Everyone is excited to be back in London and is really looking forward to playing the Brixton Academy once again. We are also stoked that the excellent English band Male Bonding is opening the show. Male Bonding and Rivers got together a while back to do some collaborating so its great to share some stage with them now.

Big ups to some special guests tonight, including weezer.com moderator sad tomato [berry], .com member edgey44, early weezer bud Jen Chiba, and Social Distortion!

Photos above - are you going? Did you go? Comment here and/or in our message boards, tell your tale! Post your show pix on our photo page! Same goes for video clips if you got em!

Guys, did you know that the clock you're driving past on the tour bus in that photo is called Little Ben? It's at the end of Victoria Street, the other end housing the more world famous Big Ben of course at the Houses of Parliament.

Great though it was, how come nothing from Hurley, Raditude, Make Believe or Maladroit? Only two tracks from "Red" meant only two tracks from last 5 albums and nothing from last 2!

it was an awesome show and the set list was awesome as well, if i was going to make my dream Weezer set list it'd be pretty damn close to that!

Reading last year was unforgettable, it was the first time i ever saw you live after being a massive fan for so long. but hearing songs such as Only in Dreams, Across the Sea, TWHTALMH, Pink Triangle, The Good Life, Tired of Sex, Susanne, El Scorcho, live for the first time was incredible, and really gave me the same buzz i had when seeing you for the first time! i really couldn't of asked for more.

The Greatest Man That Ever Lived was also insane! one of the best of the night

Great show really enjoyed it. It has been so long since the last London show so it was great to see you back. Great set list but missed so many other greats. Don't leave it so long before you return.

The only downer for me was the covers, Weezer have so many great songs they don't need covers.

I thought it was a quality show. I was sad because I was expecting such a beatuiful moment with the build up in "only in dreams" however the majority of the crowd felt like ruining it with that incessant out of time-disjointed clapping. Highlight for me was probably "across the sea". Thanks Weezer, was special!
