2010/06/07 Austin, TX: Stubb's BBQ: Memories Pinkerton

...Well, the two Memories nights in Austin are now in the history books. The dust, the heat, the sweat, the loud rock, the massive singalongs all came together at Stubb's, one of the coolest l'il venues in the US and A. Texas is 4 for 4 so far this year as far as totally epic shows goes. Go big when you are in Texas, because Texas always goes big! Thanks to The KnuX for opening the show. Also today marked the debut of the official Weezer Ustream, with a Q+A with Scott and Brian going down pre-show (plus bonus time with Pat and general backstage chaos). We'll be doing more Ustreaming in the future right here on weezer.com - when you see the Ustream button go green ( <--- its right there on the left edge of our website's window), click on it to watch!

Comment by Cynthia Regino on August 15, 2011 at 2:34pm: Hi, so I went to Pinkerton night and ALMOST recorded the entire show (I didn't know my camera stopped recording during Only In Dreams and Tired of Sex). Anyways, I bought the bootlegs and I thought it would be pretty cool if I merged my audio with them. Since I was front and center It's like reliving the show all over again. But be warned! I tend to go a little crazy every time I'm at a Weezer show so please excuse the shaking in the vids. I'll post here again when I'm done with all the videos.

Comment by otis rawding on June 9, 2011 at 7:30pm: Hi Karl...i see =w= will be playing Squamish B.C. this summer so i will no doubt see you again (last vancouver show was too hit and run....although Brian and i did manage a nice walk about and a pre show lunch downtown before soundcheck)...anyways point is it's been a while!...2008 i think...i think B is out of town so thought i'd ask you (my very first weezer board post btw, lol)...will B.C. be a "Memories" show?

I have some great video (although I can't say the same for the audio) of Rivers climbing on the roof of the building to the left of the stage during Greatest Man. Sorry the audio is so bad, but my phone and my proximity to the speaker did not end up being a good combo. Still a couple of great sing along moments that turned out okay in the middle. My first time posting, so hopefully the embed works : ).

But I must say this Pinkerton show was the best Weezer show I've EVER seen! Maybe because it's songs that are rarely played live, I don't know. It was so amazing. I really unforgettable experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you! And what's the deal with Stubb's making the artists go up and get their own food? Good thing the line starts on the other side of the building...MOB! :) I hope I was decent. It was pretty hard not to at least say hello though. :-/ I have a lot of great photos to share soon!
