2011/05/21 Washington, DC: RFK Stadium, DC 101 Chili Cookoff

We are happy to be back in the nations capital once again, and after 2 days of rainy weather up in Boston and Philly, it appears the sun is finally shining on the weez. Today's show is an early one - in fact they opened the gates at RFK Stadium at 11 AM, which sure seems early for the rock and the roll, but it is the weekend after all, plus this way anyone who plans on getting raptured this evening will still have time to. But the rest of us will be rocking out starting at 6:45!

Rivers is excited to be meeting some of the DC United soccer team players later today, who are coming down to check out the rock on their home field.

More later - are you going? Did you go? Comment here and/or in our message boards, tell your tale! Post your show pix on our photo page!

Got to see Rivers up close when he decided to climb the light tower and VIP bleachers.  Got some great pictures of him up close.  I am so glad he didn't fall when he was climbing down.

I was so stoked for the DC Chili Cookoff. For the past few months it was what I was looking forward to the most. Im in the Air Force and a few weeks ago I was volunTOLD to go work security details for the Andrews Air FOrce Airshow. I had to work 50+ hours Friday, Sat, and sunday. I missed the concert.. I was soooo bummed man.

I was there!! i can't believe people moshed like a**holes at the concert--it was pretty bad in the front, that tiny ol' me had to crowd surf up to security at the stage to get out of the hell h*le--it was really violent :(

BUT GREAT SHOW btw, my first time seeing Rivers up so close! love you man and i hope we meet face-to-face someday. :)

Pretty crazy for a not so wild and crazy guy, but I'd do it all over again, what a way to spend the supposed last day ever.

I came an hour before Weezer came on and before they started playing saw 4 different people pass out and get carted off on stretchers. Makes me glad I'm not 21 anymore.
