On this hot dry Friday, Team Weezer has rendezvoused and even reconnoitered in Las Vegas, assembling from various locales via jets both large and small, to play the outdoor Beach Stage at the massive and fancy Mandalay Bay Resort/Casino ubersupermegaplex. Its a date with density, as heat, water, rock, roll, Rivers, Pat, Brian, Scott and a big pile of party people combine to make something greater than the sum of its parts, a weezer concert in the desert.

2. Ask is they have ever actually listened to weezer

3. Ask why they don't like weezer

If the answer is stupid like, the music just sucks then to 4, if the answer is actually a good answer the to 5.

4. Run away and hide or duck tape them to a chair and make them listen to 'let it all hang out' over and over till they like it

5. Ignore them till they give Weezer another chance.

Today weezer played a outdoor festival in downtown Cedar Rapids, the Rockin The Rapids Music Festival. We followed several other bands including Tonic, Fuel, Filter and Chevelle (they seemed to have a muscle car theme going on today, up till when weezer took the stage). It was a hot and windy day with the streets blocked off, lotsa port a potties in rows, barbeque huts, tents, folding chairs, drunk people getting rowdy, a PTSD meltdown or two, and a generally disorganized and unruly feel…

Today Team Weezer converged on Dallas' venerable Cotton Bowl, to perform in the Univision H20 festival.



Today's line up is an interesting mix of artists. The intention of the people putting on the festival was to alternate between English and Spanish speaking artists, though how Tiesto fits into that, we're not exactly sure.
