Haha, me and my boyfriend just bought a whole bunch of manga and a Japanese language book so we can learn the language. Maybe if I work really hard I can learn some Japanese before the cruise so if I get a chance to interact with Rivers I can attempt to speak to him in Japanese haha
My boyfriend has been obsessed with the culture lately, him and his friends are starting a manga company thing kinda haha, I figure I can get into it too. But yea that's me for the day

The one band I am most looking forward to hearing perform on the Weezer Cruise in 2014 is the Relationship. They are a fine group of musicians. Their first album remains one of my most favorite albums.
If you haven't yet made the time to listen to their songs, I strongly encourage you to do so. You can check out their website here:
or click here to hear one of their… Continue

Haha sorry I'm on my way to go greet my newest cousin to the world( yay baby!) but as per usual lately I'm not sure what to talk about so I'm just gonna say random s*** and hope it makes sense haha
One of my friends totally is using Weezer against me. He wants me to go to one if his shows and he says they will play a Weezer song and dedicate it to me haha, needless to say if he's that desperate to get me and my bf to go to one of his shows to try and bribe me with Weezer ima do it,… Continue

Yeah, the old blogathon is taking its toll on the participants here as we approach mid month. Thanks and good job to everyone participating! I almost think working on a novel would be a bit easier in terms of thinking of something to say.
I have used weezerpedia for writing prompts. You can just go there and dial up a random page and see where that takes you. Or maybe you run across a topic of interest during the course of your day. Maybe it's more like a diary entry. It can be… Continue

This takes serious dedication man. I cant believe I'm still going at this. I'm not really sure what to talk about anymore. Especially pertaining to Weezer. Although I don't I necessarily have to make it pertain to them. But ya know I like to try to. Mmmmm I guess I can really make it pertain to my thoughts right now.
I just watched the video of Jennifer Lawrence comforting one of her crying fans. This woman is one truely amazing person, and her interactions… Continue

It is always a wonderful experience discovering new music through a beloved band. Whether it be through a 'side project' (though I dislike the term) or hearing the support band before the main act goes on stage.
A few months back I heard one of my favourite bands Sebadoh perform in Portland and through them discovered the band Octagrape. I'd never heard them before, they have an EP out. Their music just blew me away. I always encourage friends to show up early so you don't… Continue

I'm not sure that I'm really a fan of this daily blog thing. I think that I may be better suited to publishing something as it seems relevant or as the mood suits me. In any case, I made the commitment for November and so here I am.
The seasons have shifted into gear, the blue skies and warm weather replaced with fierce winds and heavy clouds looming on the horizon. We've seen deer in the car park and heard the howls of coyotes in the woods. It's quite exciting really, to be… Continue

The only musicians that I've intentionally seen in concert more than once are Metallica, Iggy Pop, Paul Simonon (as part of Havana 3 a.m.), and our friends weezer.
My first Metallica show was also my first huge, enormous, monster arena show. I felt a bit overwhelmed as I took in the great rock spectacle and the enthusiastic crowd. I was getting comfortable and enjoying the show a lot, when during Creeping Death, the "DIE!" chant started. Now, I grew up during the big "oooh, metal is… Continue

So I'm back from mini vacation and I have a lot of school work and professional work to catch up on now :( I don't mind the school stuff but I feel guilty if I don't finish my professional stuff first... ( I help people for a living which is great but to help you first have to assess what's wrong and then let the person/ family know ... I don't enjoy that part..for obvious reasons). Anyway, sometimes I get stuck and I end up shutting down and going to lala land or super procrastination mode… Continue

Ugh I can't believe I'm still going with this haha. But I'm here a good hour early for work (in the mall, yes I work at a mall) because my mom also works here and she started an hour before in was supposed to so I figure I just start early. Listening to some music in the mean time. Some special goodness :) with pats wonderful singing voice.
I'm a very audio driven person I realized. I listen to music and I break down all the little bits if it that I can. And what not. And I love when… Continue

So I'm out with friends at a club at AC and its all techno music and in dancing but I'm bored. The music just feels so emotionless...so empty. So I started thinking I'm like a robot and then I started dancing like a robot and then we all started dancing like robots. Then things got fun. Anyway.. Still a little bored and then realized I need to do this blog. So yea I think techno music is sad and empty... I wish they would play something else. change it up a bit..Maybe some =w=. Maybe I need… Continue

Ima cheat a bit an do a double post because I forgot yesterday and I won't have time today because of work and the walking dead haha.
But it's truly eye opening how big Weezer actually is. I just got out of an 90s night at a bar and they had a Weezer cover band. And you can tell thats who the crowd was there for.
And they rocked it I think. I got compliments from the band and from party goers on my tattoo. Got hit on (blech)
Over all it was a good night. It was… Continue

Hey there! I'm still a sniffly mopey mess, but I wanted to try to share some concert tips. Thanks for the suggestions on the last post; I'll include them here.
Pre-show: Stay aware of upcoming show dates. Follow weezer on Facebook, twitter, and Instagram, and it doesn't hurt to do searches, especially on twitter. Sometimes the venue will say weezer is coming before you hear it elsewhere.
Once you know a show date, assess the feasibility. Is it near you, or somewhere you're… Continue

So I don't want it to be tomorrow... I hate Sundays. I just wrote a whole sob story about my Sundays but of course I deleted it. I think some things might be good for sharing and some are best kept private :) Maybe I still need to get comfortable with the whole blog thing. I guess just even typing it out and "letting it out" on paper or computer screen feels good (like someone is listening) but then I feel the need to delete it all. Just wanted to say thanks to Lisa for inspiring me to even… Continue

Well, actually, for me its just a combination of Nightquil/ Dayquil. After a few days rest, I gave in to the allure the double quil combo.
We're looking forward to checking out a new band tonight. Minor Alps. (I haven't heard them yet). Jose from Ozma will be doing the lights. It'll be fun to catch up with a fellow cruiser friend.
Lisa, if you read this, I hope you're recovering well from your cold!
Take care everyone and keep blogging! Speak to you all… Continue

I'm still down with the blogarama but tonight I'm taking a break. A cold has gotten the better of me. Someone pass the tissue and some tea, please? :)
Back tomorrow with concertgoing tips! Do you have any you want to share?

I know I missed a day or two :( been busy. Two days ago my song would have been "my brain is working overtime". Now I am moving on to "Unspoken". I'm in undergrad school pursuing a dream( but at the same time I am a working professional with a masters in an unrelated field with a whole different set of cognitive demands). There is a method to my madness and I just have to be strong because I don't have full support from my spouse on this, he thinks its a joke and rather embarrassing. Married… Continue
