Well yesterdays Alton Towers trip was excellent, bloody glad I wasn't working last night like some!
Here's a pic of us queuing for Air, I'm the one giving the thumbs up.
I must add at this point that I am one of those sad gits that plays World of Warcraft. Now with a new expansion coming and precious little to do right now I decided to level an alt. I chose a male orc resto shaman, and what better idea than to name it after one… Continue

Oh my I've never had a blog before. Today I am going to Alton Towers. I suppose that's all I can think of for now as I'm rather tired seeing as the clocks went back yesterday, and I forgot. I thought I'd woken up at 6, but instead it was 5. Cruel.
Technically I've had the same amount of sleep as usual, but I suppose my body's response to seeing 5 in the am is that of revulsion, from this way round at least.
I suspect the rollercoasters will wake me up.

After a long overnight drive from New Orleans, we rolled into the ATL at about 7 AM. Some opted to scurry into the warmth and quiet of the hotel, others kept napping in their bus bunks, to wake up later already at the rather longish named Chastain Park Amphitheatre Live Nation. Soon we shall all reunite for the rock show. Opening up the show tonight is the raucous J. Roddy Walston and The Business

The gang has reformulated in Louisiana in New Orleans' French Quarter and now we are rolling over to the VooDoo Experience Festival in style. There are a ton of cool bands playing this festival over the 3 days in the weekend, but were not sure how many were going to be able to see till we get there.
The VooDoo Experience was quite an experience - perhaps inspired by the looming Halloween, or simply because of the wild energy of New Orleans, there were… Continue

I've talked about my love of Weezer many many times (click here to read about it again if you want to
). The years between 2000-2002 were a particularly dark time for me as a Weezer fan. I wasn't 100% happy with the style that the band took on The Green Album
Looking back on things, I just realize that it was too big of a change musically that I didn't really connect with. Over… Continue

My profile picture is of my late cat, Weezer J.Cat
I moved into a new apartment at the
same time I got my cat Weezer. This was back in '95. I had to wait a month to
get cable. I was forced to watch The Box, a call in music video channel,
instead of MTV. My roommate (my Brother Ryan) and I had never hear of Weezer, but The Box had a listing for a song called "The Sweater song, (Undone Finally)." Since
the channel was filled with 2 Live Crew and… Continue

When I was 13, the Blue album came out.
I loved it. It was my favorite cassette tape, later my first Compact Disc.
I had a weezer t-shirt in high school it was dark blue with the white lettering.
I went to a small school far from any big cities, and most of the kids didnt know who weezer was, and began to call me by the nickname 'weezer' because of the shirt. I didn't mind.
I didn't love Pinkerton when it came out. It was… Continue

Yesterday, weezer attended the mighty premiere of "Jackass 3-D" at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood. followed by a raucous afterparty across the street at the poolside lounge of the Roosevelt Hotel. Mucho mas fun was had by all. In attendance were all the Jackass regulars and pretty much anyone who had anything to do with them, a menagerie of famous and infamous types including Spike Jonze, Tony Hawk, Handsome Jack, and Ron Jeremy(!?!).
Weezer was invited not… Continue

For those who may not have seen past blogs of mine, this is a little info on my CO adventure. This was my first time to really get to be at a Weezer concert! I was so excited! Before they were able to come on, they had to take the big W down because of the wind, and so it would not fall and hurt someone! While waiting before they came on, the screens had to be lowered down because of the wind, and were right in front of me; talk about being bigger than life, and up close and personal! They… Continue

After arriving in PX I had enough time to get my will call ticket, and chill out before the next day. Next morn I headed to the Tempe park, very excited, and waited for the gate to open. Well Folks, you talk about heat, even for PX metro it was HOT! Trying to have shade, and wait for Weezer was a task! There was some very good music like Blue October, and Devo, just to name a few! I patiently waited, trying to get a good spot at the front barriers. I managed to get at the front right side… Continue

I was introduced to Weezer back in 2001 with Hash Pipe. I was around 8
at the time, still listening to Backstreet Boys and N'SYNC along with
everyone else back then. Hash Pipe was a kick in the ass, and what I
truly believe to be the song that really introduced me to rock music.
Upon discovering Hash Pipe, my cousin made me copies of Blue and Green.
I was soon hooked, and decided to buy Pinkerton and (when released)
Maladroit. I hated Pinkerton and Maladroit when I… Continue
