12/10/08 Christmas With Weezer EP + Video Game Awards!
Hey folks, good stuff coming your way - The 6 new Christmas songs that Weezer recorded for the "Christmas With Weezer" Tap Tap Revenge iPhone game will now be made available for purchase as full recordings (will full vocal harmonies) on December 16 (next Tuesday)! Weezer knows not everyone has an iPhone, and they wanted to make sure every fan who wanted to own and enjoy these new tracks had access to them. The Christmas With Weezer digital EP will be avail for download purchase on iTunes and Amazon.com 12/16. So enjoy!
...And speaking of video games, coming up THIS SUNDAY 12/14 at 9PM on Spike TV, its the Video Game Awards - featuring (amongst many things like Jack Black and 50 Cent) a wild WEEZER performance in the last segment of the show! Be sure to tune in, this ones going to blow the roof off!!!

12/09/08 Greatest Man / Children Of Winter team-up!
Ok folks, heres something extra cool. "Children Of Winter", the latest edition of the annual Warren Miller ski/snowboard/crazy action film extravaganza series has started its tour of theaters around the country, and Weezer has 2 songs in the film: "Troublemaker" and "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived".
The "Greatest Man That Ever Lived" segment has now also been made into its own stand-alone music video, to both promote the film... and to promote "Greatest Man" as a new single! This video will be debuting on the homepage of GrindTV.com TODAY (Tuesday), so be sure to check it out!! (Note that while this isnt "THE" music video for "Greatest Man" - it's "a" music video - its nonetheless very cool indeed!)
So - check out the Greatest Man /Children Of Winter video later today on GrindTV.com, and check out the Warren Miller site to see when "Children of Winter" will be hitting your town, and to see the films trailer and other details like the soundtrack list! (the film also happens to include a pair of tracks from yours truly...rock!)

the original lyrics in these favorite Christmas songs. Weezer fans can
hear the band performing six Christmas classics, including "We Wish

"Hark The Herald Angels Sing" and "O Come, All Ye Faithful", along
with two bonus tracks. The six Christmas cover tracks were recorded
exclusively for this game, and are not available anywhere else.

11/27/08 more jam stuff. and stuff.
People, Tuesday's Rivers + fans jam at Fingerprints in Long Beach was, in the words of Borat, "great success". Read the many comments on the 11/25 story for eyewitness accounts. And for all who werent in attendance, SPIN.com is hooking you up SOLID with tons of video from the event this coming Monday! Tweezer is playing tomorrow, Friday 11/28 at The Cup in Linden, NJ. And also on Saturday 11/29 at Marita's Cantina in New Brunswick, NJ.

Hey, longtime weezoids may recall Ridd, who was our main message board mod many years ago, and has been a strong pal of weezer for a very long time, recently designing cool t-shirts and whatnot for the band. Well, he's got a band called "Satellite Tragedy", and their debut album 'New Beautiful' just came out. Nice stuff! Check it out here.

Today is the release date for Rivers' "Alone II", his second collection of home demos! Check it out!
Also, 11/25 Rivers is doing a very special record release instore performance at Fingerprintz Records in Long Beach CA (sold out), a true jam session with the audience, where just about anything can happen and probably will. While the Alone II CD is being released next Tuesday 11/25, the Digital version actually comes out on Monday 11/24! So if you are an iTunes type of person, you can get it a day early.
