WILL YOU SPEND THE $$$ ON VIP TICKETS AND FOR WHICH NIGHT OR BOTH?

Just wondering if people think the VIP packages are worth the money or not?  Does anyone have any details/experience with these packages?  If they are not a rip off I would  possibly do VIP one night and cheap seats the other.  So what night would you guys do VIP if at all?

I wouldn't bother doing both nights, as you will just end up doing the same things twice and end up with twice as much stuff.

If I had a ton of money I would do one night, but I won't feel I have missed out on anything by not doing it, lets break down what you get for your $300



One ticket in the first 10 rows*
Well you could end up paying all that money and end up on the tenth row, or buy a regular ticket and be on the 11th. No real difference

Meet and Greet & Photo Op with Weezer band members
Some awkward handshakes and quick hellos before photo taken and moved on. It's not like you will be 'hanging out' with them backstage.


Backstage tour with Karl Koch
No offense to Karl, he may be close to the band but to me he's still just some dude. And I can't imagine backstage being all that exciting, I don't imagine there will be naked groupies everywhere and midgets with trays of coke on their heads.

Pre-show party
What does the party entail? How long is it for? Will the band be there? Any celbs there? Free booze? Or will it just be the people who paid for the vip together in a room with a few sandwiches?

So for me personally, I would be essentially paying all that money for the chance to get a photo with rivers (Who might not even be there, as it just says meet and greet with Band members, doesn't say which ones)

So if you are thinking of doing it, weigh up the value of the things you are getting. How much does meeting the band mean to you? Do you like collecting collectibles? Are you the type who needs to be at the front for gigs? etc

Either way, I've never understood the whole 'ohmygodihavetomeetweezer' thing. Or any band for that matter. Band members are just regular people who happen to have the ability to please you with what they do for a living and anyone who is happy to pay out $500 to say hello amongst a load of other people must be unbalanced.
