Why does Rivers use auto tune?
I don't want to get into a debate about whether or not it is a good or bad thing (I am all about funky effects when I play music, so I think its cool to use once in a while), I am just curious what let to the decision to use it.
Was it even his choice to use it?
Does he do it on albums or just on things like AOL sessions. I am just curious about this.

It was a creative decision to use lots of auto-tune on Raditude.
For the AOL Sessions, I think it's mostly up to AOL.

Yeah I dont have a problem with people who can sing using it to make a cool sound, I just despise it when people who cant sing use it to make themselves good. Rivers is amazing and he can do whatever he wants.

Ehhhh, auto-tune sounds totally disingenuous and bizarre on his voice and it was a real poor gimmick that marred most of Raditude's vocals.

As much as I love Raditude, I agree. Although, it was perfect for Can't Stop Partyin', just because it's that kind of, super-produced, hip hop song.
But the rocking songs on the album should have had the auto-tune left off.
