What are the Pickups used in Pinkerton?
I'm curious since I'm going to customize my guitar fairly soon.

They're probably standard pickups of some kind. If you're going to take the time/money to customize your guitar, you should take time and research nice higher end models instead of standard equipment.

Doing some grave-digging...
I know his Blue Strat had a Seymour Duncan 59' Trembucker in the bridge, and a DiMarzio Super Distortion (creme) in the neck.

He only used the stratocaster live, all of the rexordings on the blue album were done with a les paul.

I meant to say pinkerton and blue, in the deluxe edition of pinkerton the booklet shows pictures of rivers in the studio with various les pauls, but not one of the strat.

I can only assume the pickups are very similar. The idea when recording Pinkerton was to sound like they do live.
