This is happening.  Three coming from Alaska.  See everyone on board!

Where on the boat can you smoke?  Can guests smoke in select bars and venues?

Jen,
What are the rules regarding cancellations and refunds? If I book a room, and find out later that I am not able to go, would I get my money back?

Also, what is the policy regarding smoking? I'm not sure I'd want to spend 4 days on a boat covered in smoke and filled with drug users.

Thank you
So I'm considering making a family vacation out of this with my wife and 7 and 4 year olds.  Am I crazy?

Will the usual camp carnival activities be included on this cruise?

Hey guys! I'm Jen and I work for Sixthman - the company partnering with Weezer to bring this cruise to life! It seems that some of you have some questions, so let me know what they are and I'll be happy to answer them for you!

And no, the cruise isn't fake! It's REALLY happening. I, for one, am stoked. :-)

Thanks Jen for answering, but it's quite expensive... :)

I'm coming from Spain alone, just for this event and I'm looking for a cabinmate to share a 2 people cabin with balcony.
I'm 30, not too good english but funny!
Much too broke for this unfortunately. Maybe there will be a contest/giveaway??

Lots of great questions!

Here are some answers for you:

Cancellation Policy: Sixthman does not offer refunds on any deposits or payments made. However, we DO offer great travel insurance options. Should you have to cancel your cruise, you would be able to file a claim. Check out the "What does it cost" section (http://www.theweezercruise.com/#q5 ...scroll down a little bit from the pricing chart) to read more about the insurance coverage.

Scam? Nope! We've got 36 cruises under our belts and have almost 10 on the books for the future so far. If you'd like to get to know our company better, check out www.sixthman.net, or you can watch this short video for a great explanation and peek into what we do: http://vimeo.com/19267800 We look forward to getting to know you guys!

Smoking:  Here's Carnival's most up to date smoking policy: Cigarette smoking in public venues will only be permitted in Carnival's dance clubs as well as in designated areas within the casino and casino bar. Smoking (including cigars) will be permitted in designated exterior open deck areas (port side) of all ships. Smoking is prohibited in all guest staterooms. Guests in balcony staterooms may smoke (including cigars) outside on their balcony. However, Spa suites and staterooms, inclusive of the balconies, will remain an entirely smoke-free environment. Guests who smoke in their staterooms will be assessed a $250 cleaning and refreshing fee on their Sail & Sign account (that's your onboard spending card/account).

Family/Kids: People do bring their kids on our music festival cruises, but there aren't TOO many. You definitely won't see many kids around - but the ones that do go typically enjoy it (especially if they like the music too!). Camp Carnival activities run just as they do on any normal Carnival cruise, so that actually might work to their advantage - they'll probably get much more one-on-one attention than they would on a normal cruise, which is typically overrun with kids! :-)

1) is there going to be competitions to win tickets on this?

2) if people from afar are planning on coming, can the payment plan be extended due to extra costs of flights/ hotels

3) how much would would a wood chuck chuck?
4) is there scope for workers on the cruise, i have bar experience and  won't take no s*** off anyone.

5) ah yeah

1) Not sure yet - typically if any big promotions are running, we will post about them on our facebook page/twitter account.

2) We unfortunately can't offer any type of different payment plans for guests based on where they're from.

3) Richard Thomas, a New York state wildlife expert, found that a woodchuck could (and does) chuck around 35 cubic feet of dirt in the course of digging a burrow. Thomas reasoned that if a woodchuck could chuck wood, he would chuck an amount equivalent to the weight of the dirt, or 700 pounds.

4) No workers needed on the cruise at the moment - generally Sixthman takes care of everything from the event side, and Carnival covers everything as far as bartending/serving goes (all the normal cruise-like things).

5) :-)
