Weezer Compilation Albums

A compilation album is bound to come out eventually, so here are my suggestions:

WEEZER: THE SINGLES 1994-2009*

*all songs as single versions. Yes it fits into 1 CD.

They can release this whenever, maybe end of next year.

THE ESSENTIAL WEEZER (2 DISCS)

Disc 1 (Blue / Pinkerton):

6. Surf Wax America

Disc 2 (generally the rule is 2 singles and a bonus pick from each album):

8. Burndt Jamb

9. Beverly Hills

10. Perfect Situation

11. The Other Way

12. The Greatest Man That Ever Lived

16. The Girl Got Hot

17. Hang On

18. (1st Single from next album)

19. (2nd Single from next album)

20. (Bonus pick from next album)

I’m thinking they should release this after their next studio album, and then all the songs that gather up in the next 20ish years of Weezer can be in The Essential Weezer Part 2 or something like that.

An alternative for Disc 1 is to remove a few of the arguably weaker songs and put Mykel & Carli and Susanne on the first disc, meaning room for another Raditude single + a Hurley single and bonus pick.

i sorta agree, but why Slave? why not something like Space Rock or Slob? And why no Summer Songs 2k? and King instead of Spider.

And to the above hating, the point is speculation on something that probably won't exist and getting the opinions of fellow weezer fans

Spider isn't on there, Pig is.

I like Space Rock and Slob as well, although many others don't.

I changed it to Burndt Jamb. That's instantly likeable.

i think everyone is over thinking this issue......way to much. If a greatest hits disc comes up, it's going to be for A1-A7, Hurley will not be on there, as it is on a new label.

Just take their biggest hits and put them together in chronological order. IMO, all my least favorite weezer songs on 1 disc, yay! (not to say any of these songs are bad, I'd prefer a =w= single over any other band in the world, anyday).
