I saw something similar.
It was Rivers talking about Alone 3/Pinkerton Diares on "The Bite" in Carls Jr.

You know, I like Unspoken acoustic, but not nearly as much as I do the CD version, when all the guitars kick in for the last go-round. 

 

(If I'm going to listen to the acoustic version, I like this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUqBSnHt26c better than I do that Direct TV version that I saw as a "sneak peek." )

 

It seems like you lose some of the anger and frustration without all the loud electric guitars and drums at the end, you know? It's like this giant release of tension. Gave me chills the first time I heard it.

I agree with everything you said. I like both but the album version rocks. I love the intensity in the last part.
