The Strokes 'Angles'
Anyone else listening to it yet? It leaked yesterday.
I'm still letting it sink in with repeated listens, but I think it's pretty good thus far.

Only listening to the single for now.
First listen I hated it...'specially the guitar riff in the beginning that needs to be redone with accurate pitches.
Now, I really enjoy it, but I still hate that riff.

i haven't listened to it yet.
the single is ok, but i haven't been blown away by the rest of the songs i've heard.

I think that single is pretty awesome.
It feels a little out of place on the album though.
Other tracks I'm really enjoying are "Machu Picchu," "Taken For a Fool," "You're So Right," and "Life is Simple in the Moonlight"
But I have to say this album is reallly different for them and I can see a lot of fans of their earlier stuff not being into it.
It sounds like someone sent the Strokes to 1985 in a time machine, and I'm pretty ok with that.

I would not rate it higher than Is This It by any stretch of the imagination, but the first 6 tracks are killer, as is the closer. It kinda drags for me in the second half to be honest.
Though I dig Gratisfaction too.
