Following last week's news of a pre-season fixture against Sporting Kansas City in July, official confirmation has now been forthcoming that a second game against MLS opposition will take place against Columbus Crew.

That means a return to Crew Stadium (pictured) for United, who played out a 2-2 draw there in July 2000 thanks to a brace from Carl Cort.

Of the players who appeared that night, only Steve Harper remains at Gallowgate (Shola Ameobi wasn't selected for the touring squad).

Livestrong Sporting Park, ko tbc.

Tue 26.07.2011 Columbus Crew (a)

Crew Stadium, 7.30pm.

(Confirmation awaited as to whether any more pre-season games in North America are planned).
