I could do without the rap and spoken word part.

Maybe a bit more sophisticated lyrics but musically..this song rocks!

A big surprise when I first listened.

This is by far one of the greatest songs ever written.I saw WEEZER do it live at two shows and its one of my favorites.I hope they do it at the Borgata on May 27th.

Further proof that Cuomo's talents are underutilized. TGMTEL is great for the piece of gimmick pop it is, but I'd like to see such dynamic genre shifts used in a way that compliments some more developed lyrics. The song is fun, but lacks real substance.

Agreed. 

 

Love: "I'm like the mage with the magic spell, you come like a dog when I ring your bell" 

Love: "If you don't like it, you can shove it, but you don't like it, you love it"

Hate: The sirens
Hate: "Til they pull the curtain down on my staaaaage."
