france banned the face veil.

i have nothing against ANY religion, but personally i think this is a brave and sensible law.

as stupid as I think face veils are, people should be able to wear them if they want. What are Michael Jackson's kids going to do the next time they are in Paris?

Do any other European countries ban religious clothing, or is France the only one that wants to see the movie version of 1984 come to life?

I think freedom to practice the religion of your choice is very important. That being said, I can understand why they would. Does not mean that I support it. It is unfortunate that fear plays heavily into it.
