Self-referential Weezer songs

Weezer songs seem to quote other Weezer songs pretty frequently. For example, Tragic Girl references Butterfly, and Longtime Sunshine references Why Bother? What's your favorite Weezer self-reference?

El Scorcho references Falling for You: "Or maybe you're scared to say: 'I'm falling for you.'" Smart Girls kinda references Losing My Mind: "Don't you know you make me lose my mind?" (I could do this all day long... :P ) My favorite is the Butterfly reference in Tragic Girl though.

using a fairly common phrase that happens to be similar to another song title is not a reference.

I don't think you know what a reference is. What is the "Butterfly" reference in "Tragic Girl"?

In "The Rat Race" I think there's an actual reference to "The Good Life".

I didn't realize this was the official reference approval committee. Pardon me for not running everything by you guys first. I'm sure the band really appreciates the hard work you're doing for them.

To answer your question, Tragic Girl: "Ain't no butterfly girl, this ain't no butterfly love. I'm just meant to be your latest tragedy." I think the reason Pinkerton and the Pinkerton b-sides have so many references to one another/overlapping lyrics/repetative themes is because Pinkerton was originally written as a rock opera. You know, different songs, same themes? I know. It's hard. Don't hurt yourseles thinking too hard about it.

Since you managed to pull one out all on your own, I'll reward your effort with two more:

You Won't Get With Me Tonight referencing Getchoo-- "but i got to got to getchoo" (there I go trying to make something out of nothing again);

Greatest Man referencing King: "I'm the tops, I'm the King. All the girls get up when I sing."
