I don't mean that it's a negative thing. I think it's an extremely positive thing, at least in Weezer's case. But the point is, people think the Red album is ridiculous for things like "Everybody Get Dangerous" and the rapping, but I think that Blue and Red share a lot of those kinds of things in common, and it's not a bad thing. That's my point. It's unique, it's charming, it's Weezer. Blue or Red.

Heh, I tend to use that word in shitty songs!
Well "Hold Me Back" is pretty good but I wish I hadn't recorded Nova.

I'm going to have to disagree with you, there. Blue was "cheesy" (I don't think that's a bad thing, either), and so was Red, but Red is probably my least favorite album. I'm not really sure why, but it gets on my nerves in a way that no other Weezer album does. Does anyone else feel this way?

The self-titled albums are appropriately-named, because they are the best representations of who Weezer is as a band. I think Red is as good as Blue in so many ways.

As much as this may make me seem like a Weezer fanboy, I've actually come to like the new stuff. A lot.
The way I started taking it a little now is that if you just listen, and think of the song itself, not as the bands whole history, then you can find some good in it.
Except for Love Is The Answer, that is s***.

The Laid Back Mix of Love is the Answer isn't that bad. I actually like it. The original version, yeah it is one strange song.

This is a fun phase, but it doesn't last very long. A lot of Weezer's new songs aren't just failures because of their history but because of a lack of authenticity.
