In a motion of shameless self promotion (and in honor of Christmas), I'd like to share with you folks an article I wrote about Rankin/Bass Christmas specials.

If you're not familiar with Rankin/Bass (what's wrong with you!) you at least know their work: Rudolph, Frosty, The Little Drummer Boy, and so forth.

I'm hoping some (if not many) of you are also familiar with my choices, including the funkier The Year Without a Santa Claus and Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
