Pork and Beans inspiration

I was listening to The Beach Boys the other day, and noticed the start of "Then I Kissed Her" sounds a lot like the guitar riff in Pork and Beans. I was just wondering whether any of you know if that song influenced him when he was writing Pork and Beans?
