Hi, I knew Mikey a bit and I am a huge fan of his fan and music as you might've seen on other threads, I would be happy to buy them from you and I would really appreciate them. Could you inbox me what price you are selling for?.

Hi Hugh,

I put a $100 price with no reserve. We paid $100 for the piece so I thought that was fair - at least I wouldn't lose money. The hard thing is there is nothing to compare it to - I looked for current sale prices but because his art is unavailable to the public, there's no way to gauge market rate.

I guess what I'm saying is let me think about it further. Art sales is an area I know very little if anything about. I'm not trying to break the bank and as I said, this would sit better with me if I thought that the buyer was a fan and not an art speculator. That said, I'm not selling the piece because I don't like it, it's an unpleasant economic decision for me and my family so I need to find a place where everyone feels ok. Sound all right?

That's totally fine :) I already have a signed pick and some art from Mikey which is really amazing, but the problem is that I just started college and don't have too much money at the moment, but I will have some soon, but feel free to give it to anyone else who you feel is right :)

I totally understand. Let me mull it over and reconnect with you. There are a significant number of watchers for the auction so maybe this will just sort itself out.

I LOVE his artwork. I followed him on facebook before his passing and wished I could afford them!
