Death to false metal is a different release?

Yes; yes; No the release dates are different. I don't believe there is a release date for one of the two yet.

They are both released on November 2nd. And I believe they are both being released by Geffen.

Yep, both are November 2, both are Geffen, both are different releases. DtFM features (mostly) re-worked songs from many Weezer eras, mostly 2002 - 2005 though, and Pinkerton:DE is remastered Pinkerton with B-sides etc from that era.
