My Weezer tribute debuted last Saturday, and this is how it went!

Last Summer, I joined forces with three Weezer-loving gentleman from Bethlehem, PA and shook the skivvies floorboards at a local music / art space in Lancaster, PA.

It was awesome, and we can't wait to do it again!

Undone (The Sweater Song) -- Project Blue Album - A Weezer Tribute

I'm currently putting together a highlight video for promoting to more local venues. I'll be sure to post when it's ready.

I would love any feedback you could give me.

Cheers!

Ben

Tribute bands are lame.

i always like it when bands create websites and various social media profiles before playing their first show.

then again, i guess when you're not writing your own songs you have a lot of time to waste.

Creeper mustaches are not cool, nor have ever been cool.

I always thought tribute bands make an effort to look like the bands they are paying tribute to...this is more of a cover band

someone has to represent rivers' pedostache.

We're working on it, Buzz. Our first show was focused on breaking in the set and working out the kinks. We're going to put more of an emphasis on clothing style moving forward, and yeah, Jesse's mustache is rather sketchy. Our drummer Nick looks more like Frank Zappa than Pat.

At the end of the day, we're just Weezer fans who grew up to Blue/Pinkerton and have wanted to perform the albums live for many years. People are really enjoying it so far and we're having a blast - that's the most important thing for us. Most tributes are lame, but some of them can be awesome if the bands can pull it off.

In time, I guess we'll see which category fits us best.

Thanks for all of the feedback,

Ben H.

I'd like to hear one of your covers.

Hugh,

Here's our performance of the Sweater song. This Summer, we're performing the full blue album, a couple Pinkerton tracks, and a handful of B-sides (Mykel + Carli, Jamie, Susanne, YGYLTMS)

You nailed the solo, got people to dance, and got girls to show up to your show.  Mission accomplished

The bassist and drummer look really different to the singer and rhythm guitarist :P good job though! the solo was amazing and generally it was very good, but the only thing I would criticize is that the bassist occasionally doesn't play the right thing and some of the things that the drummer does at the beginning annoy me a bit, but other then that good job :) it would be cool if you had someone who could properly do the falsetto, but good luck with everything and I hope you get better and better.

hey you got the crowd going and in a singalong! that's always a plus!  killer solo.  Yeah I'd go see you guys play if i could.  You should post the rest of this show.
