my bands cover of pork n beans
my band played our schools dance last friday, and this was a song we played... we were missing a rhythm guitarist so the solo we put in seems a little out of place

- Get a new drummer
- Tell your guitarist to stop palm-muting during the chorus as that kind of ruins it.
- Even with rhythm guitar, that solo would have been really, really bad.
- Work on your vocals. I am sure this will get better the more you listen to yourself and keep performing.

for once someone with useful feedback! the drummer always hate's on pat, says he's a terrible drummer, so he tried to make the beat better... and i'll be sure to work on the vocals, getting voice lessons in the near future. Thanks!

when was there a solo in Pork n Beans? I thought that part was pretty funny. It went from weezer to Van Halen in a heartbeat. Pat would be proud. You really don't need a "lead guitarist" for that song. The 2nd guitar just helps drive the rock home during the Chorus.
That chorus needs to be rocked out with crunchy guitars. You are singing I presume - your wardrobe was very weezer-esque, Try and get your bandmates to join you next time. Really look like a band instead of like the kids in the audience, especially when playing covers.
