Matt Sharp reunion at the Japanese festival?
I just saw that The Rentals were playing at the same festival as Weezer this week, does anyone know if Matt will have a reunion with them after all this time and finally meet Scott?.

I think that any chance of seeing something like what Mikey did in Vermont last year (reuniting with Weezer and playing with them) from Matt this year is very unlikely. Besides that, that look from Pat in that photo looks to me like that Pat wished that he was somewhere else and rather had not taken that picture with Matt.

lol. Face the facts? I think the majority of us did that long ago. Mikey got a little taste of the life and left. So him coming on for one song was awesome. Matt has released albums and toured. Bringing Mikey out retirement was rad, Matt might just be a slap in the face to the ACTUAL bass player..... Scott. Scott is awesome, go Scott!

What would it have hurt for Matt just to come on stage for 10 minutes at least and done Undone and Say It Ain't So with the guys to break the ice so to speak? This would have been one of the biggest moments in Weezer history if that had of happened. But apparently apart from a photo taken of Matt, Pat and Karl together, Matt just doesn't want to be a part of Weezer anymore, so let's just face the facts about that one right now. And if he truly and fully appreciated Weezer he would have done us a favor and reunited on stage with the guys but it's all about the money with Matt and if there was money involved to put him on stage he would have been there both feet running.

Now that is what a true reunion of Weezer looks like. All smiles and real and not faking it like Pat is doing in that picture of him and Matt and Karl and Pat looking like he should have been somewhere else instead of being with Matt.
