Try the album Aim and Ignite by fun., based on your aforementioned preferences I think fun. will be a band that you will appreciate, yet they are also different enough so that you're being exposed to a new, exciting branch of music.

definetly look into:
manchester orchestra,
them crooked vultures,
cage the elephant
..........these are all new bands. if you want some older bands here are some of my staples:
the pixies, nirvana, green day, the offspring,
the toadies, the clash
the killers, modest mouse, queens of the stone age
rolling stones, beatles
led zeppelin, cream

There is a good unsigned band from Ireland called makewait.Im sure weezer are one of their influences.Well worth checking out. http://soundcloud.com/makewait
