atomic surprised me with a swanky new record player, so i picked up the following used records:

picked up a few records at a flea market, a couple more records at a show, and then ordered something online:
bruce springsteen - born to run
stevie nicks - bella donna
a flock of seagulls - space age love song 7"
xiu xiu - always (a second copy on white vinyl, b/c it's prettier than the pink vinyl copy i have)
xiu xiu/father murphy - "i luv abortion" b/w "in the flood with the flood" split 7"
xiu xiu - remixes 7" & cassette

The new Beach Boys album :D
I was pleasantly surprised. Of course, I'm not saying it's their best, but for a bunch of guys in their late 60's/early 70's it's pretty damn good.

i haven't bought a record/cd for myself in a while. i think it's because of michael jackson's suggestion that the companies are ran by the devil.

sometimes xiu xiu really makes me embarrassed that I listen to them. That cover of Always was one of those times.

I didn't love Bloom. Tallahassee is one of my favorites though. Picked it up on a trade in last year I guess.
