Who would you like to support =w= on their Oz tour.
I really hope weezer bring along someone great from overseas. =w= have delayed this Australian tour for years now. It's a damn smart move cause from that time they have made that step to 'arena rock band' which i have nothing against by the way. Now shows are damn pricey down under. $120 hard earned coins plus a lame booking fee will get you up front.. i'm guessing its alot cheaper overseas...
Now i have seen some local bands trying to bake their way into a support slot with cheesy =w= cakes and the like. Lord help us.. for the time the country has waited, we don't want any boring local acts before weezer. Lets have a band who has been with weezer.. came from their era and have earned respect from the public.
so give me your suggestions..
Mine
Ash
Dinosaur Jr
Marcy Playground
Jeff the Brotherhood

I appreciate that these shows could be the opportunity for lesser known and/ or local bands to perform to a wider audience. But yeah, I understand where you're coming from in wanting to hear a band such as Dinosaur Jr. I don't know what Lou Barlow & co's schedule is like for January, but I'd love to hear Sebadoh or Dinosaur in Aus again, especially since both bands have released new music.
I think Ozma would be good, but it would be really cool to have The Rentals.

i saw primus last year at soundwave - there was a mosh pit but it was nothing like woodstock '94.

I have been getting back into the fauves album future spa lately. its a classic for me.
didn't dave get custard back together for shows a few years back to..
Custard played as recently as February of this year at a couple of festivals.
A few years ago, I would have suggested Jebediah, as they had some good songs and are clearly fans of Weezer. Are the Fauves still performing?
