Hello, I bought Hurley on vinyl the day it came out and some songs always hissed on the S's and the T's. These songs are: memories, unspoken, run away and smart girls. This was a problem with the vinyl as i tried it on several turntables.
So recently i purchased the same album but on red limited edition vinyl. It has the same probelm.
Has anyone else had this problem? or have i just been really unlucky. Or will all Hurley releases suffer from the same annoyance? Thanks, Sam

Permalink Reply by AndBounce on July 19, 2011 at 9:28am I might be a problem with Rivers' microphone.... A lot of the songs on my iPod do that, I don't think it's a problem with the press or the turntables, or that it's even a problem.

I think a lot of aquired knowledge has been lost over the last 20 years for both pressing and mastering. A lot of newly released stuff on vinyl sounds terrible.
