How Many Versions of Make Believe were there?

I know there's a version with a different line in Drugs and a version with a different chorus in Perfect Situation... however my particular album has the altered Drug lyric and the original PS chorus. So three? Were there any other edits made to the album, anyone know?

There were three U.S. versions. The first printing had the "wrong" lyrics of We Are All On Drugs (I want to confiscate your drugs...) which was recorded as an alternate version during recording and somehow selected incorrectly during the mixing. A while after this error was corrected Rivers started singing The Perfect Situation live and decided he liked the live (more pop sounding) chorus and since they were re-mixing anyway they decided that they would include the backing vocals where "the perfect situation" is repeated during the later chorus.

I think we are referring here to normal U.S. versions. Of course there are always scores of international versions and limited editions of any CD (though I have not heard of any significant extra tracks with Make Believe) but the U.S. standard version generally stays the same, whereas with Make Believe there were actually three different printings with significant changes in the mixing of the two songs mentioned.

I still don't understand why they didn't notice/amend the clipping guitar intro in Perfect Situation. It seems like every fan can notice it but the ears that get paid heaps to make things sound good couldn't - not just once, but twice.

Thanks...I was wondering why it was one way on the CD and why they sing it differently at the concerts..I personally like the first one ( I believe thats the old one/the one on my CD) better....

That's more of a editing to make it shorter for the video thing if it's the official video.

I've always liked the original Perfect Situation more. However, I think the the remix of Hang On is better than the album version.

It's something to do with a drum fill between two choruses and a high note on one of the "We should give"s. It's on Wikipedia somewhere.
