Happy MLK day!

How did you celebrate?

I lynched me some fellow white people. Pretty sure it's not what MLK stood for but it was worth the expressions on their faces, you know, being chased by a Greek guy with a pitchfork screaming "BLACK POWER!" and all. *shrug*

I also had a cupcake.

Student 2: Why do we have a long weekend??

Student 1: It's MLK day. No school on Monday.

Student 2: Oh right. I forgot about that president.

Sad but true. ^^^

Recently helped my son with a big project on MLK, the civil rights movement, and the bombing of the 16th St. Baptist Church in Birmingham. It was pretty moving, for the both of us.

Also, made cupcakes with sprinkles.
