Check out this awesome new band!! In their videos they said that "Pinkerton" was the biggest inspiration for their new album. They used a lot of Weezer sounds and vibes as references when they were recording. I think that payed off for them in a big way!! What do you all think? That chick is really cute right!? Here's they're new music video:
Are there any other good bands out there who you think give off that brilliant Weezer vibe?

This band is from my country, Mexico, they say Weezer is an influence on their music, and this song has a really strong =W= vibe imo...
I really like it :) the drums at the beginning kinda sound like the drums in "My Name Is Jonas".

I'm a big fan of Ozma and had the chance to see them live 3 times and meet them. I like all the albums but many consider Rock and Roll Part 3 their best (I'd argue that Spending Time on the Borderline is just as good). Even the singers in Ozma sound similar to Weezer. Definitely check them out!
Of course Matt Sharp's band, The Rentals, offer a similar sound. Also worth checking out.
Permalink Reply by komikero on December 16, 2011 at 9:22pm Actually - this is SO random, and I apologize in advance -
But I remember in 95 when Weezer won the VMA for best alternative video (and break through video I think)and I went to school the next day and really rubbed it in my best friend's face because she was a huge Green Day fan.
Okay - thanks for indulging me there. *sings Memories*
