i read Much Ado About Nothing and could not stand it. that was the end of Shakespeare for me.

"Double, double toil and trouble; fire burn and cauldron bubble." and the whole witches brew from Hamlet ( which I had to read in 5th grade)

I won't pretend I am a huge Shakespeare fan and my best friends were Cliff's and Barron's....but that could be because most of the Shakespeare I encountered I was forced to read before I could fathom what was going on....
