alcohol in aus = EXPENSIVE
a decent 6-pack is well over $10!!
a 1/5 of liquor is at least $35!!
it looks like i will have to be a wino now as that is all that i can afford.

Unfortunately, many things are more expensive in Aus. Have you tried the larger retailers? BWS and the like?

yes, ive realized that. but you guys also have a better average pay than in the States...so i guess it evens out. I dont know what BWS is but i buy my alcohol from Dan Murphy's which claims to be the cheapest liquors in town.
