Does anyone know how to get a photo pass?
I've been trying to figure out how to get a photo pass to basically any concert. do you have to know the band/have connections, or what? I've decided to go into photography and need to expand my horizons on what I take pictures of.

"basically any concert" covers a pretty wide array of concerts. if you're talking about big name bands at large venues, you won't get anywhere without press credentials and a portfolio. once you have those things, you go through the band's publicist.
start small, get shots of local bands at local venues, and find a way to get them out online. instead of facebook, put them on flickr. find blogs that cover local music in your area and offer your photos for them to use.
