Darkest Weezer song?
There seems to be a lot of criticism regarding weezer getting too mainstream or too commercial, so on the flip side of this, what do you think is Weezer's darkest song?
First thought is for Across the Sea - amazing song but I remember feeling pretty shocked when I first heard the lyrics about thinking about how an 18 year old girl touches herself. No One Else has to be up there too.
Less obvious but for some reason I always come back to Space Rock. Written during some of Rivers' toughest times, IMO easily the worst song on any of the albums, with lyrics seemingly aimed at the people on the old =w= boards.

No One Else isn't dark. Neither is Across The Sea. Tired of Sex is the perfect example of a dark song. Oh, and there's no seemingly about Space Rock. Board members hated Maladroit demos that were posted. Rivers hated us because we hated it.

Not very dark. Rivers is singing about being a douchebag, but compare it to songs like Getchoo.

Haunt You Every Day and Slob came to mind when I was thinking about "dark" Weezer songs. Oh, and like Connor said, definitely Tired of Sex.

Across the Sea's definetly a good one. Along with that, I would say "Falling for you" and "Devotion".
Falling for you - the confusion and angst about whether you should let your feelings progress and what the repercussions will be (especially when being a rock star).
And Devotion, how he had a girl that was probably good enough for him that he pushed away, and how he's chasing something he may never get and if he did, may never be as good as what he had. And ultimately, the romanticism of her waiting for him to come back. At least that's what I get from it.
