perpetual war.  I don't think the "allies" are leaving anywhere, anytime soon. Unless Edgey gets voted PM and Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich get elected Prez

I'm used to it. Old news.

now can the government spend money getting us out the s*** and stop ruining (coincidently oil-rich) countries

do you mean the UK government? we haven't been 'in' libya at all. no country has. there was a nato mission to provide limited air support (but no ground troops) but that's finished now the new government controls the whole country and, in any case, uk involvement was minimal. libya's a mess - today, a free, democratic mess - but, for once, we (meaning evil, arrogant, western capitalists) didn't really have a hand in causing the mess in the first place, oil or no oil.
I'm sad that Ronald Reagan isn't alive to witness these recent events.

i reckon we have been 'in' obviously i can't say it's a dead cert, but the whole thing strikes me as suspicious. there are a good few other countries where the people are trying to topple their dictators, yet no air strikes or anything is happening (help from western countries) there .

anyway, i don't care all that much, gaddafi is dead. i might be able to watch the news or pick up a newspaper without libya being mentioned in the next few weeks.

ahh, so you think there was some kind of black ops going on or something? hmmm. it's possible, i guess. if that happened, i'm sure we'll hear about it in due course.

as for why there were air strikes in libya but not other places (i guess you mean like tunisia and egypt?), well, the nature of the uprisings there has been different. in libya, it basically amounted to civil war with gadaffi slaughing any libyan that wasn't on his side. air strikes helped protect civilians. in egypt, things were somewhat different, with the main protests occuring in city centres, without large-scale, country-wide armed conflict between the uprising and government forces. indeed, in egypt, after the initial flare of violence, the army gave up after a while and just sat around and watching the protests.

definitely think they shoulda called in air strikes during the london riots, though. scud those f******, imo.

I'm sure there was some form of black ops in there.  How else would we know where to Air Strike?

i believe they had narrowed the search down to a very small area so they had a reasonable idea where to hit.

lol

if Edgey were a ruthless dictator, he'd still be commenting on here, letting us know his status, and what the Pop delivery man brought him that day
