Brian Bell was almost in The Two Towers?

 Bell was offered a role in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers as "Orc Number Three", but declined the part. A few years later Bell stated in an interview that it was "not the right move for (his) movie career at the time".

Is this a joke? I can't tell. haha. I know that Weezer were offered a part in the Scooby Doo movie and turned it down but this sounds made up. Source?
