Animal Farm, 1984, Choke, Fight club
I always liked "To kill a mocking bird" by Harper Lee

I don't know if that would be a great influence or not, you can be the judge of that. It's just probably my favorite book.
Harry Potter. How about a Harry Potter concept album, Rivers?
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
-Captain John Smith's History of Virginia

-Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass

-Fahrenheit 451 (Bradbury)

-The Time Machine (H.G. Wells)

-Physics of the Impossible (Michio Kaku)

I'm more of a short story kind of guy:
-The anthology of Bicentennial Man books (Isaac Asimov)
-The Masque of the Red Death (Poe)
Agreed, awesome book!

Good Night Moon, I find myself writing songs better about simple literature...
Dude!  'Lord of the Flies'  and 'House'.
"The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath" by HP Lovecraft

Its a short story that can be found in the "Dreams in the Witch house and Other Stories" penguin paperback.

It was posthumously released. Its a fantasy adventure that taps into some primal emotions about lost childhood.
