Permalink Reply by berry_rydell [berry_rydell] on November 7, 2011 at 1:41pm farkas was right to lock it. the entire time i've posted here (even before i was a moderator), there's been a policy that threads that talk about moderating decisions get locked or deleted. that happens not because we don't want our decisions criticised - on the contrary, feel free to ask us about the things we do, via PM, profile comment or chat - but because those threads always end badly, usually with people endlessly complaining about stuff that a) happened years ago or b) had nothing to do with them. the board is pretty stagnant right now, and i'm guessing that, coupled with a few seemingly inconsistent mod decisions/bans recently, is where this general anti-mod thing is coming from. and that's fine - we're all just interpreting the rules as best we can and we'll all make mistakes from time to time. however, if you think a mod has made a mistake, starting a thread to complain is not the way to handle it. if you made a thread that got locked or deleted, do not make a duplicate thread or another thread asking why it was deleted. contact the person who locked/deleted it directly if you wish to discuss the matter. if you're not sure who locked/deleted your thread, ask a mod in chat or via PM.
i'm locking this in the interest of board harmony.
