Permalink Reply by THE NÄRD DOG on February 13, 2011 at 11:43am I am really stuck between the 90s and 100 B.C.
I think I'll go with 100 B.C. :)
Permalink Reply by if-i-were-an-orange on February 13, 2011 at 2:12pm the most important time in music over the last 100 years, i would say would have to be the 50's and 60's. but of all time? i wouldn't know.
With names like:
Miles Davis, B.B. King, Grant Green, Little Walter, Jimmy Reed, John Coletrane, Louis Armstrong, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Art Tatum.....you have some steep competition. And that is mostly just names from the 50's....then in the 60's you have the British Invasion and Blues Boom as well as all the hippy crap going on in the States...and then things like Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles.
the 90s???....i mean really, compare any random name I listed to the 90's best acts...(Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, Rage, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains)
GTFO
maybe i'm listing off the wrong crap from the 90s, still...the 90s sucked for music, even the 70's were better.
