i think a weezer tattoo is something most people will regret in 10 years. not that i mean that they won't like the band, just rather that they might find the idea of having a weezer tattoo really stupid... you know, when they mature.

I have matured. Married, 2 kids, 2 cars, own a house and have a great job. I am covered with tattoos, none of which I have ever regretted. I think you should think twice about being judgemental.

i have nothing against tattoos. certainly my comment wasn't judgmental in the least nor was it directed at you.
my meaning was that people often don't think about what they are putting on their body. a tattoo should be something spiritual and not a passing fancy. now for some people a weezer tattoo might just be that. for most it won't and down the road they might have some regret for their youthful transgressions.

Something spiritual? And for those of us who aren't spiritual people? I have to go ahead and disagree with you completely. I, too, have matured. Weezer defined my youth, and they have been my favorite band for a decade. I've had this tattoo for several years, and it is the first of two tattoos I have. The ONLY thing that I regret about it is that it wasn't done 100% perfectly. The subject matter I do not regret at all and never will. Perhaps a band is a "passing fancy" for you, but there are people who hold certain things dear for a reason. My other tattoo is another band tattoo, by the way. The Beatles to be specific. I'm proud to have both of these on my body.
I am relatively offended by the "you must be immature" thought process behind this post, but whatever.

i totally agree with ali. spiritual tattoos are usually the more lame and unoriginal tattoos anyway. a tattoo should be whatever the hell you want it to be. possibly something to remind you of a certain person, place, or time in your life. people take tattoos so seriously, but in todays society....who really cares? dweebs do, and nobody else. to me, tattoos are not "cool" and i don't use them to make a statement about myself...they are just fun. people like to ask me "wont you regret it when all your tattoos are saggy and wrinkly when you get old?" but by that point i will already be saggy and wrinkly, so i wont be such a hot site to look at in the first place...what difference will it make?
i have a =w= tattoo similar to ali's, ill post it when i find or take a pic of it.

I don't think you have any right to be condescending and presumptuous about how mature someone is just because they get a tattoo of something you don't personally find great meaning in. Yeah.

im not going to punch someone in the face because they don't like my tattoo. anyway, one should always voice their opinion, no matter the consequences.
