Permalink Reply by Daniel [bleed0range] on March 8, 2011 at 8:14pm Hey! I got an idea!
If they DID release a Weezer Rock Band, I think what would be a REALLY cool idea that would probably gain a lot of attention for the game is if it were a "Weezer presents: Songs from the Black H***" Rock Band where instead of actually releasing the album finally, Weezer recorded all the songs that we've gotten as demos on the Alone albums and released it as a game. Complete with animated representations of what's happening on screen as you play the game.
Blast Off, for example, would show the characters taking off in their ship and it would be edited like a music video... intercut with CGI shots of the band playing. When you get to the part with M1 the Robot, "Don't forget the purpose of this mission," a person speaks into the mic and it comes out sounding electronic like a robot (whatever effect they use in the song). The robot would of course have to look like Karl haha.
Why is this cool? It allows for Weezer to release songs from the black h***, but not really... and we get to sort of see it/watch it like a movie. They could also throw in a bunch of other popular Weezer songs and b-sides and such as well. Weezer could also release the songs from the game as an EP on a CD that comes with the game.
I'd buy something like that twice. No, three times!
