The only time these tributes come anywhere close to "sucking" is when people put on acoustic versions that don't really do anything new with a song but even that isn't what I'd call bad.
These tribute albums have featured some fantastic re-interpretations of Weezer material (a lot of them are better than the originals) and they make me proud to be a Weezer fan, let alone an a6er. I wish this forum could come together to produce something so cool.
It takes a lot of talent to produce such high-quality covers and a lot of dedication to the band, too.
